I don't know who littledirewolfy is, but this is the only username I've used on archive.

The reason I ask is BECAUSE I've traded for a while, I am AM very psyched about the abundance here. But I noticed, for example, that there was an upload of the fifth different SBD of a show, and of course you're going to have your occaisional upload, but FIVE? and we aren't even able to download these....am I missing something here?

I went back and read some of your previous posts and realized that you were not the one I was thinking of.

Furthur proof that I shouldn't post, moments after waking up or after walking
in the house from a hard day at work.

That is a very creative user name though.

read the lineage.the source closer to the original sbd dats, cassette or reels are 99% of the time going to sound better.also new software for transfers have made a huge difference.all these sbd are available to download at torrent sites.the band doesn't as of now don't mind torrent sites as
long as it's not an official release or if it's a different source than the official release.studio albums are a no go of course and videos are iffy.grab yourself a torrent client and download away though older torrents are hard to get sometimes.

It's not just about downloads, although that's good.

It's great to have a place where shows are discussed and various versions can be reviewed. Tape flips, drop outs, missing chunks, poor labeling, noise reduction, tape generation, mic placements, SBD/AUD matrix -- all of these can vary, as well as digitizing equipment and editing skills of the uploader and friends.

Keeping all this straight is one of the wonders of the GD community, and ends up with better quality listening experiences.

And Mr Gannon, I won't ask if you have "relations" with "people" in the White House on any of your frequent visits. That could spell trouble!

Then don't look at Barton 77, there are about 15 of them. :-)
